  The manager Caroline was amazing, she knew exactly what style I was wanting. I explained I am always very nervous about changing my style, she talked me through the cut & colour every step of the way explaining what she was doing. I felt every bit at ease as she was professional and polite. The price's are excellent, for the service and treatment I received I would expect to have paid a lot more! I will defiantly be returning and would also highly recommend to see Caroline to anyone.

  Worst place I've ever been! The owner Gary could not have been more incompetent and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs!
  
  I went into this Hairdressers because I had bleached out my hair to a peroxide blonde and wanted to tone it down with a natural-looking honey blonde colour. The owner/head stylist named Gary sat me down in a chair, started mixing colours and putting them on. I asked how much it would cost and he refused to tell me, saying "it depends." He kept stopping colouring my hair to answer the phone or chat to the other staff, which was a bit unimpressive.
  
  He washed the colour off and my hair was dark grey, like the colour of metal, with a greenish tinge to it! Hardly the honey blonde I'd asked for. Gary claimed he meant to do this and said it looked "beautiful" on me. I wasn't buying it but felt really embarrassed and was worried I was overreacting.
  
  Gary seemed to 'randomly' decide the cost was £40 with my 10% student discount already applied; why is it such an even number if he has given me the discount? I went to the cash machine to get money to pay and came back and again tried to complain about the colour which looked really obviously grey. Honestly, I looked like I had gone grey at 21. I started by saying that it looks more grey and not as warm as I wanted... Gary flew off the handle! He shouted at me "FINE! GET OUT, DON'T PAY AND NEVER COME BACK!" I was really taken aback. I stood there shocked. I tried to reason with him, but he said "I'm really upset you said that, you ruined my day!" really aggressively. I decided to pay half the cost (£20, it was supposed to be £40) and left in tears feeling that he had bullied me into paying and made ME feel guilty for HIS mistakes. Gary was so unprofessional! All of this was carried on in front of another customer, who looked really awkward and embarrassed the entire time but said nothing.
  
  The next day, everyone that had seen my hair was absolutely shocked by how bad it looked and couldn't believe the hairdresser had even let me leave with that colour. I went back and managed to get a full refund from Gary, but now I am stuck with a permanent ugly grey colour. I wouldn' t reccommend Cocoon to my worst enemies!
