  I lived here two years ago and was absolutely disgusted by the quality of the room and staff's attitude.
  
  Two days before I moved in, I went to reception to pay for the accommodation fee, I pressed the bell but there was no response so I knocked on the window. The receptionist sitting inside saw me and did nothing but kept me waited for at least 5 mins. Once she opened the door, she SHOUTED at me saying 'you don't knock the window if you want to come in, you need to ring the bell'. That was an absolutely horrible experience, I don't want to say their staff were racist or anything given that my appearance seems Asian, but almost all of them acted extremely rude dealing with any enquiries. For example, I realised there wasn't a bin in my room when I first moved in but it was listed on the tenancy contract and the rest of my flatmates all had bins provided. So I went to asked the receptionist and she kept me waited for a while and replied 'we don't provide any bins'. By the way, this was the same staff who shouted at me before I moved in. There was also a male staff sitting at the back who heard our conversation which I was sure of, he nodded at me and gave me a weird smile.
  
  During my stay for the academic year, basically everything in my room needed maintenance and I usually needed to wait for weeks for the handyman to come and get them repaired. E.g., bathroom and corridor lights, no hot water running etc. What also happened on my first day of moving in was, the toilet lid was missing and it looked like someone ripped it out. I had to use a plastic lid to cover it for two/three weeks(I can't remember how long exactly but it was long and unbearable) until someone came in and replaced a new one for me. (The handyman was really nice by the way.)
  
  There were also worms in my bathroom, I could always find one or two creeping on the floor every morning I opened up the bathroom door.
  
  Also the website said the security was 24/7 but it was not. The reception closes after 6pm and there was no one working at night.
  
  This is probably a shortened story during my stay at Aspect 3, there were a lot more AWFUL moments that I couldn't really remember in great detail but I feel like I had to share my story to people who may be deceived by its superficiality or who would like to know what it really feels like living there.
  
  I feel like I should have reported the problems to Student Advice Centre at Student Union. I regretted that I did not do anything at that time but I suggest if there's someone else going through a similar experience, do really seek out for help from the university and talk to the Student Advice Centre and they may sort it out for you.

  I can't say enough good things about this place! The environment here is well suited for students. And of course you cannot leave out the fact that you make tons of friends from all over the world and get to do fun things with. I've made some awesome, life-long friends in my tenure here. The staff is great and readily available when you need them. Recommend this place!
